What's the meaning of "livin' in a dream"?
Does it mean you dreaming about something and it happened and you living it? Or are you living a life that isn't real?
For me, I prefer taking the second answer. Living in a dream means that you live in a dream. To put it in other words, your life isn't real. You're life is sadly only a fantasy. You know, like that one song from Queen.
"is it a real life? is it just fantasy? caught in a landslide. no escape from reality"
(And the next verse is got more interesting)
"open your eyes, look up to the sky and see"
Living in a dream means that something you expect is happening, but it will soon gone. It's not gonna be here forever, and you're not gonna be there forever.
I don't believe that "living in a dream" phrase. I mean, for someone like me, all the things that I've dreamed of never come alive. I don't know either my dream is too high I can't reach, or is it me who doesn't have the ability to reach it.
I've read some sayings that said "don't lower your dream, but make yourself high enough to catch it". Hmm... no. Sorry, but I'm not that kind of person. I'm the person, who lowering my dream just so I can reach it.
Some people said "never stop dreaming" "don't give up on your dream" and else. Do their dreams really do come true? I'm curious.
Don't get me wrong, but I also have dreams. I made it all up in my head. Keep wishing and praying and work as hard as I could, to make them come true. I made a list of it to be honest. But none of them ticked (yet). For now, to me, a dream is just a dream. Until I have one of the list ticked.
And I'm still on the question "When do I get to taste that 'living in a dream' thing?"
For now, I'll just have to be grateful for what I have in life. For what God has given me.
I believe there are so many people like me, making a dream, chasing it, trying to live it. I believe I'm not alone :)
